Low State of Charge (SOC)

What does it mean when your battery bank has a low State of Charge (SoC)?

Low State of Charge (SoC) is an indicator that your house battery bank is getting low. We recommend reducing your power loads, and/or providing an additional power source (shore or generator power) to aid in recharging your battery bank, if it drops below 20%. This will also extend the overall life of your battery!

For those with onboard generators, remember that your generator requires battery power to crank, so don’t wait until your batteries are dead to start your generator!

If you have SOK Battery’s lithium batteries, you can use SOK’s ABC-BMS app to monitor each battery ‘s SoC individually. Learn more here.
