Built for the Journey: Refreshed. Recharged. Still Rock Solid!

Refreshed
We’ve hit the refresh button—hard. New ownership, new tagline, new website (because let’s be real, it was time), and a logo in progress that actually reflects what we do. The goal? A brand and online experience that feels as clean and dialed-in as the systems we install. We didn’t change things just to shake it up—we did it to better show who we are and how we work.

Recharged
We’ve brought some fresh energy to the business—behind the scenes and in the shop. From streamlining communication to tightening up our processes, we’re charging forward with more clarity, better tools, and a sharper focus on what matters most: delivering badass RV solar installs without the fluff. The vibe is energized, the crew is synced, and we’re ready to roll.

Still Rock Solid
At the core, we’re still Great Outdoors Solar (GOS). Our master installer is the same wizard who’s been building pro-level systems since the beginning—and that’s not changing. We’re still using top-tier components, obsessing over clean installs, and delivering the kind of customer service that actually feels human. Fancy new website or not, we’re here to do the job right and make sure you feel good about every step of the process.

John Gazzano2025-02-06Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. After doing my research and getting many quotes, I found Great Outdoors Solar. Speaking with Elyse over the phone, she explained the process and the options. After asking what my needs were and what we plan to do with the solar/battery install, she gave us a very fair quote. During the quote process you really have to pay attention to what is being installed and what products solar installers are charging you for. Great Outdoors Solar used Victron products, Epoch batteries and all superior products. The installer (BJ) was great, he was very professional and did a clean install. Communication during the install was excellent. The “how to” operate the system was also excellent. I am very confident that if you are looking for a solar system for your RV Great Outdoors Solar is very accommodating and is the company you need to talk to if your in the market for a solar install. gary bieske2024-12-20Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We have a Brinkley Z2800 and had Great Outdoors Solar install a 1200 Watt solar, 1000 amp hour lithium battery package, and 4000 watt inverter to our RV spring of 2024 We do quite a bit of camping at national forest campgrounds, national parks, state parks, and some boondocking. Most of these do not have electrical hookups and we were tired of relying on a generator and the noise associated with it. Great outdoors was very professional from the start. They scheduled our install around a vacation we were planning to Florida and we were very happy with the workmanship and quality of the components. They even figured out how to use the power onboard, 2000W inverter on my new F250 pickup to charge the system when traveling. The system has worked beyond our expectations and it is so nice to use the 110V outlets and appliances for up to 5 days (with no sun or on a shaded site) the same as if we were plugged into shore power. On a sunny site we can go weeks without shore power. (of course that is not using the air conditioning) We use starlink while traveling and it requires continuous 110V power. The touchscreen display shows where all the power is coming from and where it is going making it very useful to manage the power They are very responsive to any questions and issues we have had since the install and they have walked us through to get everything understood and working again. Each issue we have had has been something we did wrong or outside of their install, but they still took time to make sure we got everything up and running again. Would strongly recommend Great Outdoors Solar if you're thinking about having a system such as this installed. AND you can get a 30% tax credit if you claim your RV as a second home! Did a total upgrade to LiFePo new panels, controller at a great price. All was well explained. The initial contact knew her stuff and help me a lot. The installer went above and beyond assuring a quality install. I would recommend this company to anyone in need of RV solar, be it a new system or just an upgrade. Lou W2024-06-21Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Our experience with Great Outdoors Solar has been nothing short of exemplary! Starting from our initial contact with Lauren, who is knowledgeable of their products and who patiently and efficiently dealt with all of our correspondence throughout the process in a very professional and timely manner. Then on to Adam, who not only did a very professional, high quality and meticulous full solar installation in our Brinkley Z3100; but also went above and beyond by fixing some Brinkley manufacturing issues that he discovered while installing our system. Finally, after using our system off grid for a week, we had several questions regarding the operation of various parts of the system and Thomas replied to our email and provided professional and very detailed answers to all of our questions within just a couple of hours. This was the second time Thomas provided his knowledge, the first being when he patiently answered all of our questions and provided advice during our consultation phone call. If you're in the market for a solar system, we highly recommend the team at Great Outdoors Solar! Miles Drenth2024-05-14Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This company is the real deal!! I have been impressed from the first time I saw one of their installs. They (Adam!) completed my total install on a Z3100 Brinkley and did an incredible job. Included full suite of Victron components, 5 additional 200 w solar panels, and a pair of Epoch 460 amp batteries. Best thing is if ever needed, they can log into my system for trouble shooting anywhere I am at. G G2024-02-05Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Great place. One day when my lottery numbers hit, I will have them install my solar on my Prius Kelly McGrew2024-01-23Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. It was a pleasure to work with Elyse and Adam to have our Class A motor home fitted with a comprehensive photo-voltaic system. Our 37' class A motor home is a 50A unit with two A/Cs, microwave, and washer/dryer. We bought a 10-panel (2KW)/5 battery (206AH each; 1030AH total) system which has provided us with amazing comfort and convenience. One trip our surge suppressor failed but indicated normal operation, so we connected via a 30AH converter and limited incoming power to 28AH. Forgetting I had lowered the threshold from 48AH to 28AH (to avoid over-drawing the pedestal), we continued to run both A/C units, used the microwave, and used the washer and dryer. Because the load was split between shore power and our Great Outdoors Solar PV system, everything worked seamlessly. I will add that, following the issue with that low-cost Amazon surge suppressor, we bought both the Hughes Big Dog surge suppressor and their Hughes Autoformer. It is nice being able to use my phone to check both the pedestal and the PV system. It's a joy to be able to have the front A/C unit on while traveling without having to run the generator. It was only after we had the system installed and operating that we met Tom. He's built a great business and I hope you're as pleased with the system you get from them as we are with ours! millerbh2023-10-12Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. From start to finish, this company was absolutely amazing to work with. Starting with the estimate stage, they had unbelievable patience and their knowledge of solar and RV battery systems was remarkable. I asked a lot of stupid questions and they were extremely understanding and took their time explaining everything to me in a way that I could understand. I must of called 4 different times and each time they were glad to answer my questions without rushing.......they made sure that I understood everything and was comfortable with my decisions. The lithium battery install by Adam was first class. He is a perfectionist and you sure can tell by looking at the finished product. He takes extreme pride in his work and uses only the best parts and accessories. He called several times during the 5 hour install to keep me updated. You just can't ask for a better company to do work on your RV battery/solar systems. I am extremely happy with their quality work!!! Bravo Zulu Great Outdoors Solar !!!
