1000W RV Solar System

A Customizable Off-Grid Power Upgrade for All RVs

Our most popular solar setup for a reason! This 1000W RV Solar System is ideal for adventurous couples who want reliable off-grid power and the convenience of a hybrid solar system. It delivers enough juice to run everything in most RVs as long as the weather plays nice and you're not counting on the A/C all day, every day.

This system is designed to handle your everyday essentials:

  • 12V DC components like lights, vent fans, and USB outlets
  • 120V AC electronics like phones, laptops, and TVs
  • Occasional use of bigger energy-hogs like microwaves, air conditioners, and hair dryers

Need more power for longer RV A/C run time or heavier usage? You might want to check out our 2000W RV Solar System—built for serious off-grid independence.

This 1000W system can also be customized to fit your specific rig and travel style. Check out our Frequently Asked Questions for additional general information or schedule an RV solar consultation and let’s build exactly what you need.

FAQ's

Will the 1000W RV Solar System work for my RV?

Most of the time—yes! We can typically install this system on all kinds of RVs: motorhomes, fifth wheels, travel trailers, toy haulers—you name it. If your rig is under 30 feet or has limited roof space, we’ll want to double-check the layout and component placement.

We offer a paid consultation to evaluate your setup, and if you decide to move forward with an install, that fee rolls right into your project. This system is also fully customizable—so if your rig’s a little quirky or your power needs are unique, we’ll tweak the design to fit you perfectly.

Book your RV solar consultation and let’s get your RV solar turned on!

Yep—just not all day long. The 1000W system can typically run a single RV roof air conditioner for around 6 hours, which makes it perfect for cooling off during the hottest part of the day or while you’re grabbing lunch at a rest stop.

A good rule of thumb? About 45 minutes of run time per 100Ah of lithium battery. So if you’re dreaming of longer A/C use, we can always add more batteries to keep the cool air flowing.

No worries—we’ll design your RV solar battery bank to fit your rig and your floorplan. If three 300Ah lithium batteries aren’t the best match for your space, we’ll customize the setup to make sure everything fits and functions just right. It’s all part of building a solar system that works for you.

If you plan to run your RV air conditioner using solar power, then yep—an EasyStart is a must-have. It helps reduce the startup surge so your inverter and battery bank don’t get slammed when the A/C kicks on.

The 1000W package includes one EasyStart, which covers a single A/C unit. If your RV has more than one air conditioner, chances are you’ll need an EasyStart for each unit you want to run through the system. Don’t worry—we’ll help you figure out exactly what your setup needs during your consultation.

Disclaimer

Pricing reflects a typical RV solar installation. While we do our best to design a system that fits your rig before we ever turn a wrench, some RVs may need extra parts, wiring, or labor due to their unique layout. If that’s the case, we’ll let you know as soon as we do so there’s no surprises.
